Chance of Receiving an RFE
Estimated from the share of cases under RFE approximately 2–3 months
after filing, when most premium-processing RFEs have already been issued
but relatively few have been resolved.
Approval Rate After RFE
Estimated by comparing RFE and adjudication rates between blocks that
are approximately 2–3 months old versus 6–9 months old after filing.
Declines in active RFE cases are attributed to RFE resolutions, and the
approval rate of those resolved cases is calculated after accounting for
non-RFE adjudications. Assumes no additional RFEs are issued between the
two windows. As a result, this estimate serves as a conservative
(lower-bound) approximation.
